Brownie Baked Oats

A creamy chocolate oats recipe packed with protein for a filling breakfast you can eat warm when it’s cold outside or cold when it’s warm outside. The recipe takes under 15 minutes to whip up and makes with 6 healthy breakfasts x


Serves: 6

Ready in: 12-15mins 


INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • ¼ cup cacao powder

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt 

  • ⅓ cup maple syrup

  • 1 ¾ cup milk of choice

  • 1 large banana , mashed

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

  • ⅓ cup nuts of choice - chopped



METHOD

Step 1. Preheat the oven to (180°C). Line a square baking dish. Set aside


Step 2. In a large bowl, stir dry ingredients: oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt


Step 3. Whisk in wet ingredients: mashed banana, milk, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts (optional), and stir to combine evenly


Step 4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and add a few more chocolate chips on top, if desired.


Step 5. Bake for 40-45 minutes for a dry and firm texture.Serve cold or lukewarm with a dollop of Greek yogurt or extra almond milk.


❤️Storage


Let it cool down completely or for at least 20 minutes before serving. Then, cool completely before storing in the fridge, in its baking dish covered with a piece of foil for up to 4-5 days.
